CHANDIGARH: Ramesh Sharma, president of the local block Congress committee, was shot dead by suspected militants near Phase IV here on April 30.
Sharma was fired at from pointblank range around 1:45 p.m. when he was going on a scooter to the Punjab Tractors Limited factory where he was employed. He died on the spot.
