Freedom loving Sikhs struggling to liberate an independent state are often referred to as “terrorists,” militants, guerillas or extremists who kill innocent people, Over and over we read newspaper headings such as “§ gunned down” or “10 killed in bomb blast” or “15 Hindus executed in bus” etc. These are not crimes committed by Sikhs, The main freedom loving organizations (most effective, most organized and most powerful) work under the guidance of an umbrella organization, consisting of five members called the Panthak Committee. This Panthak Committee is in control of all the activities and is currently spear heading the movement for freedom of the Sikh nation. The International president of LS.Y.F. Bhai Daljit Singh, is a member of this Panthak Committee. He has insisted many times that they are not involved in any terrorism activities. Their aim is to establish freedom for the Sikh nation not to spread fear or do any actions which would defame or embarrass the Sikh nation.
To achieve Khalistan they are very much aware that they need international support, they are also aware that terrorism or innocent killings would damage that support. So why would they harm innocent people? It doesn’t make sense that they would harm any innocent bystander. What does make sense is that the Indian government is killing innocent people and spreading the fear of to defame the Sikh nation’s just demand for political freedom.
