SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Governor, Virender Verma resigned on Jan.27, apparently to preempt Center’s move to remove him from the office. The Governor sent his resignation to the President, Dr.Shankar Dayal Sharma on Wednesday morning, with a specific request to relieve, him to the earliest. He said, copies of his resignation have also been sent to the Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao and Union Home Minister, S.B. Chavan.
