SAN JOSE: The Babbar Khalsa International reiterated its faith in the establishment of Khalistan and vowed to continue this struggle till its achievement.
The Conference first of its kind held at Sikh Gurdwara San Jose last Sunday was a scene of unity as several Sikh organizations of USA, UK, and Canada participated in the proceedings.
The conference also pledged its support to all the freedom fighting organizations respecting the laws of lands where they were based. It also affirmed their help to the victims of state terrorism in Punjab.
The conference, which was attended by large number of Sikhs from North America, was addressed by S. Sewa Singh Lalli, President, Republic of Khalistan (in exile); Dr. Gurcharan Singh, President, World Sikh Organization (U.S.A), S. Ganga Singh Dhillon, S. Gurdev Singh (president

Jit Singh Bainiwal (president Babbar Khalsa International, USA, and president Sikh Gurdwara San Jose), Gumam Singh Pamma (representative, Council of Khalistan), Dr. Gurinder Singh (president, WSN), S.HS Bhullar (general manager, WSN) S. Didar Singh Bains (former president, WSO International), Hardial Singh Dhat, Mohinder Singh Grewal, Suit Singh Thebri, and S.
Gurdip Singh Babbar, Governor General, Republic of Khalistan (in exile), U.S.A office.
The conference started with the Sikh prayer. S. Jit Singh Bainiwal welcomed the Sikh congregation and the representatives of various Sikh organizations. S. Bainiwal said that the purpose of the conference is to discuss the present political situation in Punjab. He requested all the speakers to express their views independently and without criticizing others. He donated $2100 to Babbar Khalsa International on behalf of Sikh Gurdwara San Jose. Some Sikhs responded to his call and gave donations on the spot.
S.Sewa Singh Lalli,talked about the atrocities committed by the fake nirankaris in 1978 which resulted in the martyrdom of 13 ‘Sikhs in Amritsar. S. Lalli said that this massacre laid the foundation of the current Sikh struggle. He said that Babbar Khalsa International came into existence then. He praised Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar, the head of Babbar Khalsa International for providing excellent leadership. He said, “As we teach the tyrant a good lesson, it is also our duty to protect the weak and the helpless. In every aspect of this struggle, Babbar Khalsa gives Gurmat a top priority. We do not take any action which is not in accordance with the Sikh tenets.” We can face the enemy only if we are united, he added. He said that it is no less than a miracle that a small minority such as Sikhs have put the Indian government in hot water. S. Lalli said that we are better organized than ever before.
Gurdev Singh of Babbar Khalsa (UK) also talked about the present Sikh crisis and the fake nirankari incident in Amritsar in 1978. He said that the top brass in the Punjab police at that time were fake nirankaris and higher level police jobs were not available to nonnirankaris. He said that the martyrdoms of Sikhs in 192223 freed the Gurdwaras and the martyrdoms of 1978 brought the Sikhs to anew tuning point. He added that Khalistan Liberation Force, Bhindranwala Tiger Force, Commando Force, Sikh Students Federation, and Babbar Khalsa International fully cooperate with each other, He said that unless we have our own defense, policy and sources, we will remain slaves. He added that it is a sin to live at the mercy of others. He requested all the Sikhs to donate freely to Babbar Khalsa International for this noble cause.
S.Gurnam Singh Pamma reaffirmed that the goal was Khalistan. He added that the recent parliament elections in Punjab should be considered as a referendum. He added that it is unfortunate that some of the Sikh leaders who talked about achieving Khalistan have now lowered their goals and are simply talking about the implementation of the Anandpur Sahib resolution. He reminded that we should not be taken in by the Promises of the new Indian government as some of its members were in the cabinet of Mrs. Indira Gandhi when she attacked the Golden Temple. He asked the Sikhs to strengthen the hands of Sikh freedom fighters by donating money.
Dr. Gurinder Singh Grewal (president WSN, member WSO) talked briefly about the present Punjab crisis. He asked the Sikhs to contribute to the Sikh struggle by educating themselves, their western allies, and also by coordinating with the freedom fighters. He proudly mentioned that the lawyer who fought the cases of Sikhs in New Orleans, picked most of the information from the WSN.
S.Didar Singh Bains gave Siropa to S. Gurdev Singh of Babbar Khalsa International (U.K) along with the donations by the Sikh Sangat. S. Didar Singh Bains also gave Siropa to S. Didar Singh, Jathedar of Akhand Keertani Jatha for his outstanding services to the Sikh communities in India, U:S.A., Singapore and other countries, S. Bains personally donated $5,000 to Babbar Khalsa International. S. Gurdev Singh said that Babbar Khalsa is responsible for providing help to the families and orphans of Sikh martyrs and to those who are in Indian jails. He reassured the Sangat that the money will be spent for humanitarian purposes.

S.G.S. Dhillon, president WSO, U.S.A., paid tributes to the Sikh martyrs. He said that we should not forget the sacrifices made by the Sikh martyrs and warned that if any leader tries to undermine the sacrifices made by the Sikhs, as always, he will be severely dealt with. He added that the elections in Punjab proved to be a blessing in disguise in the sense that it was a referendum for the Sikhs, He said, “the Indian government and the world now knows what the Sikhs want.” Talkspt te, GEL representatives in the Indian parliament, he said that they have failed the very basic test by taking an oath to withhold the Indian constitution. He added that Hindus do not want to see Sikhs as Sikhs. He reminded that V.P. Singh was a member of the Indira Gandhi cabinet and she also came to visit the Golden Temple a week after attacking it. He said, “as long as your destiny is in someone else’s hands you will always meet this fate.” He said that our goal is one and our top priority should be to help the freedom fighters.
S.Didar Singh Bains thanked the organizers of this conference, He appealed all the Sikhs to participate in the movement and urged them to become followers of Guru Granth Sahib. Talking about Simtanjit Singh Mann, S. Bains said that Sikhs should not expect anything him.”Mr. Mann is hopeless”. S. Bains added that the only people who can help obtain Khalistan are those brave Sikhs who are fighting. in Punjab and elsewhere. He added that if America can help the Afghans by providing them with arms, the U.S. should have no objection if we do the same for our Punjabi brothers. He said that we should convince the Americans to help us as they have helped the Afghans. He said, “Service is our business. We all have to work together”.
S.Hardyal Singh Dhatt, S. Ganga Singh Dhillon, S. Mohinder Singh Grewal, S. Surjit Singh Thehri and S.H.S. Bhullar also addressed the gathering.
