OAKLAND: The collapsed free way here crushed the hopes and aspirations of Mohinder Singh. He lost his wife Margaret and son Joshua age 4. Mrs Singh was on her way to San Pablo with her son on the fateful day. A gaunt Mo hinder waited three days and nights by the ruins of the freeway hoping against hope for a miracle that was not to be. Anis Khan (23) of Pakistani origin was also killed on freeway 880 on his way back from San Francisco.
