YAMNA NAGAR: The Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi wills have to take bold inanition with extraordinary courage to resolve the crisis in Punjab. Bullets cannot solve the Punjab problem. Dandvale blamed that the solution to the problem was very much in sight before Operation Blue Star. He said that opposition parties and Akali Leaders had almost succeeded in finding a solution in ten rounds of talk, but because of political motive on the part of the government of India it did not materialize,

The decision to release detainees according to him was a delayed one. This should have been initiated much earlier avoiding the worsening of the situation.

He emphatically asked the Prime Minister to work out the solution to Punjab problem keeping the unity and integrity of the country through negotiation.
