NEW DELHI: Six persons, including four teenagers, were injured when a bomb exploded in a market place in West Delhi Early Friday morning.

The bomb, suspected to be kept in a two wheeler (DEN 9959) parked outside a liquor shop, exploded at 0545 hours (local time), about six nearby shops were also damaged in the explosion.

Five of the injured were sleeping outside the food stalls where they worked while another ‘was passing by when the blast occurred.

Local residents said the number of persons injured was less due to the early hours.

They alleged that the local watchman had informed the police about the unlocked scooter lying outside the liquor shop but had received no response. All the injured ‘have been admitted to nearby hospitals.
