BATALA: The All India Sikh Students Faction (Daljeet) has taken exception to the statement of Mann that he can persuade the militants to observe a truce and described it as figment of his imagination. District president Phula Singh, gen secretary Harjit Singh and two others said that militant outfits such as the AISSF, KCF, KLF, BTF, Babbar Khalsa and the Damdami Taksal had boycotted the parliamentary elections since they had not faith in the Indian Constitution. The militant outfits would not accept anyone as a leader who swore by the constitution even if he had made sacrifices. The militants would not allow any person to sabotage the Sikh struggle. They also announced a reward of Rs one lakh for clues in the death of Jathedar Khudian.
