Dear Editor:

I am a Nigerian currently detained by the U.S. LN.S. in Laredo processing Center, Texas. Here is one Singh from “Punjab” who is known as Jasbir Singh Bajwa (active member of All India Sikh Student Federation). He has been in custody for the last two years and seven months.

As an individual who has been following the confrontation between the Sikhs and the Hindu rulers, I have decided to share with Sikhs the pain that is being inflicted on them by the barbaric government of India. Punjab used to be a separate state in its own right. Sikhs have been fed with false hopes dating from the time of Mohandass K. Gandhi and Jawa har Lal Nehru.

How long can a man continue to be a slave in a free world? Sikhs protested against slavery and Hindus retaliated by launching series of attacks on the “The Golden Temple, Amritsar” in 1984, 1986, and 1987 in which thousands of Sikhs were killed in cold blood.

The only way peace can be resolved is to allow Sikhs to establish the “Central Government” of their own free country.
