PATNA: Gastroenteritis, raging in epidemic form in Patna and its adjoining areas for the past one week, has claimed 9 6 lives to date, Patna’s district magistrate said here.
Unofficial sources however put the toll at 200 the three governments run hospitals, besides make shift centers set up by the government and voluntary organizations. Nearly 2,000 people had received medical attention so far.
