JAMMU: Several militants, including “four top ones,”” Was nabbed by security forces in different parts of the Kashmir valley during searches while the authority’s clamped indefinite curfew to nab the assassins of a government official Tuesday, an official spokesman said.

The spokesman said security forces launched ‘a massive hunt for the militants and their hideouts after a deputy director of the food and civil supplies department A.K. Raina was gunned down in his office in Shaheed Gunj locality Tuesday.

The spokesman said, “One top militant was nabbed in Srinagar -the summer capital of the strife torn Jammu And Kashmir State. Three others were captured in Anantnag, 55 kms from Srinagar.

However, the identities of the militants were not being disclosed for “‘security reasons.””
