ISLAMABAD: At least six persons were killed and several injured by snipers in fresh incidents in the trouble torn Sind province on June 5 and 6.

Five persons were killed by unidentified gunmen near Tando Qaiser while a tea shop owner, Nadeem was gunned down in Tatodero area.

As troops continued intensive patrolling, an official spokesman said the situation in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana divisions remained trouble free.

He said another 45 persons allegedly involved in various criminal activities had been apprehended. One Sten gun three pistols, two revolvers and ammunition were seized from them.

The district magistrate of Hyderabad announced relaxation in curfew in some areas.

Over 300 people were killed and many more injured in ethnic clashes in different parts of Sind during past nine days.

 

At least 18 people were shot dead and 10 wounded when a bus carving them was ambushed by Wednesday the Pakistan steel mills, about 3 6 kilometers north of Karachi.

According to officials, a bus load of factory workers were going to their work place and when they reached near a cement factory midway, four persons in a car stopped the bus and started firing, killing 18 of them.
