YUBA CITY: The Gurdwara of Yuba City, 2468 Tierra Buena Road, in cooperation with the whole Sikh community of Yuba and Sutter counties is holding its 11th Annual Parade on Nov4, 1990. This parade is to celebrate the coronation of the Holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

The Sikh religion was founded by the first Sikh Guru, Nanak Dey in 1469. The Sikhs were led by a succession of 9 Gurus. The 10th and last, Guru Gobind Singh proclaimed on Oct 7,1708 that the Su Guru Granth Sahib, the book of holy scriptures of Sikh religion, would be a leader of the Sikhs thenceforth. This particular day is also called’.

“Guru Gaddi Diwas”.

The annual parade to the highlight of a 3 day event which starts with the continuous reading of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib on Noy 2, 1990 at 6 A.M. After the 48 hours of continuous reading of Holy Scriptures, followed by other religious ceremonies, the parade will start at 11 A.M. As in the past, Sikhs from all over California and foreign countries are expected to participate. All are cordially invited to join in this happy occasion.
