All Sikhs are invited to join in celebrating a historical event in Sikh history. The 282nd anniversary of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the tenth parade at Yuba City which commences on Nov 3 at the 2488 Tierra Buena Road, Yuba City Sikh Temple. On the 5th November Nagar Keertan will start at 11 am from the Gurdwara where every year more than 15,000 Sikhs have participated. Our Senators, Congressmen, City Mayors and prominent Scholars, including Ragis and Keertan Jathas will participate and grace the occasion. A proclamation from the county and city hall will be issued. All are very cordially invited to participate in this Gurpurab.

On the 7th of October 1708, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Master bowed his head before Si Guru Granth Sahib. He ordained the congregation at Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Shaib Nanded to revere the Guru Granth Sahib as you do me. He who does so Guru shall reward him earnest deeds. The Guru shall rescue him. Know all to this the truth. Thus Guru Gobind Singh ended the succession in the form of human personalities and installed the Granth Sahib as the final and the living Guru.
