The World Sikh Organization categorically states that it will take measures against any group or individual whom. without prior consent, utilizes the world Sikh Organization’s name for personal reasons. In the recent past, certain organizations have been unjustly pursuing their own personal endeavors and incorporating the World Sikh Organization’s name. This must stop.
Also, in the media recently it has been stated that the world Sikh Organization as a group are contesting Gurdwara Elections and are seeking control of Managements of Gurdwaras. According to the mandate of the World Sikh Organization and its manifesto, this is not a goal of the organization. The primary purpose of the World Sikh Organization is to be a representative body of the Sikhs throughout the world, and lobbyist for issues which concern the Sikhs. Never has it been the mandate for the World Sikh Organization to seek control of Gurdwara management.
The World Sikh Organization is com- mitted towards the welfare of the Sikhs as a Nation. The above raised issues are a concern to the World Sikh Organization because it effects the foundation of the Panth. Without a firm foundation, we all know what the cumulative effects are. Again the ultimate goal is unity. This unity cannot be sacrificed he the hands of self serving individuals who are committed to causing dissension within the Panth “United Once more the Sundered.
