The bhog of Mata Pritam Kaur who passed away on February 6 at Stockton will be held on Saturday February 25, 1989 at the Gurdwara Sahib Sacramento from 10 am to 1 pm.

Mata Pritam Kaur 76 was the mother of S. Amrik Singh Gill the editor of the World Sikh News. She is survived by S. Wadhawa Singh, who served the Sikh Temple in Stockton for 12 years, S. Amrik Singh, S. Baljit Singh all of whom live in California and S. Jaswant Singh and S. Kulwant Singh who live in India. Her daughter Gurdial Kaur also lives in India.

Mata ji came to California in the beginning of November but she had a cardic arrest on December 25 and did not recover. She was the wife of late S. Niranjan Singh who retired as Deputy Controler of Military Accounts in India. They lived in village Sadhar in ‘Ludhiana district.

Mata ji’s cremation was held at Lodi on February 12, A large number of California residents came to pay their respects to the departed soul who leaves behind a very large and popular family in California. S. Bhagat Singh Pahal of Gum tali village in Jallandhar district who owned a chain of cinemas in Uttar Pradesh died on February 1. He was S. Amrik Singh Gill’s brother in law.
