The first anniversary of the World Sikh Organization falls on Sunday, July 28, 1985. All local Chapters, Regional Councils, and National Bodies in each country are requested to observe the day as per the following programme:
(a) 27 July 1985 — hold meeting of the W.S.O. at all levels to
(I) review progress of W.S.O.,
(II) Suggest ways and means to promote W.S.O., and
(III) Carry out membership drive vigorously.
(b) 28 July 1985
(1) The office bearers of W.S.O. should attend local gurdwaras, explain the need for W.S.O. and educate Sikh masses regarding W.S.O. aims and objectives.
(III) Appeal to Sikhs for their maximum involvement in W.S.O. activities including raising of funds.
(III) Appeal to intellectuals and other Sikhs to write letter to media protesting against labeling of Sikhs as terrorists and give legal notice for defamation of the Sikh Nation.
