CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal after a meeting with Punjab Governor Surinder Nath stated that work on S.Y.L. canal had not been stopped and media reports to that effect were baseless. The Chief Minister said the Governor had given assurance to him that work had not been stopped. He said he was waiting for a decision by the Center to step up work on the project.
