LUDHIANA: International Human Rights Organization and Bharti Kisan Union will together organize a function at Guni Nanak Engineering College, Ludhiana, on March 6 to celebrate International Women’s Rights day.
Important women leaders such as Madhu Kishwar, Subhasini Mullay, Dr.Sudesh Vaid and Nandita Haksar have been invited to address the General. The function will highlight repression of women in Punjab, Kashmir and Assam. THRO Chairman D.S.Gill in a statement condemned the arrest of Assam Journalists Parag Kumar Das, Krishan Barua and Nripendra Sarma under TADA and sought their immediate release.
