NEW DELHI: Police has registered a case against Vishwa Hindu Parishad activist Sadhvi Ritambra for allegedly promoting enmity and hatred between two religious groups in Najaf garh area of South West Delhi by delivering provocative speeches Jan 2.
If convicted, she will have to undergo imprisonment up to three years, either with or without fine.
Police has already banned audio cassettes which contain her speeches on the Ayodhya temple Mosque controversy.
The case has been registered under section 153-a of Indian Penal Code for arousing passion between communities.
The 25-yr-old from Ludhiana, an industrial township in Punjab has made her way to the capital to campaign for the Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
