CALGARY, Reuter: Organizers ‘of next year’s Winter Olympic may cut the number of team officials allowed to attend after being flooded with accreditation requests.

So for, 2,547 athlete’s and. team officials from a record 60 countries have said they will attend the games from February 13 to 28 and there are still 12 nations yet to report the size of their delegations
The two villages for athletes can accommodate 2,600 people and the committee said it has no plans 10 make more room.
‘Warm nations such as the Philippines, Portugal, Malta, Guam, Guatemala and Fiji want to send between ‘one and three athletes. They must prove their athletes meet Olympic standards before they can compete in Calgary.
Iraq, which was planning to send a skier, told organizers on Friday they would not be attending but gave reasons.
‘The previous record for attendance at the Winter Olympics was sett the 1984 games in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia which drew 1,490 athletes from 49 countries.
