From News Dispaches NEW DELHE An assistant sub inspector of police Mohan Lal Pawar at the Kingsway Camp police station was arrested on the charges of beating up his wife, and breaking her arm.
Getanjli was married to ASI Mohan Lal in 1986 but the husband’s greed for more dowry (dower traditionally given to aman by his bride’s parents) tumed the home into a hell for the wife, according to women’s rights activists.
The concerned police station first refused to register a report of the assault on the lady and only after a demonstration was held, did the officers do the needful.
