World history has been written in the blood of brave souls who dared stand firm for their faith, their God, the very righteousness of their cause. These are the saints and soldiers who are the stuff of myth and morality plays.
The imprisoned soldiers of God whose impassioned pleas to faithful disciples have inspired generations of every religion to take up the sword of Gobind or the cross of Jesus, or the fire of Mohamed was joined by the 20th century Sikhs in Jinda and Sukha. Let us not be sad, but be joyous in the fact that finally the two taste the sweet freedom of earthly release and join the ranks of saints and martyrs whose dedication, love and sacrifice will inspire those left behind to fearlessly join the fray for truth and honor.
