I am a Sikh
I am proud to be a Sikh
I was born to be a Sikh
And I will always remain a Sikh.
who made us Sikhs”
Guru Nanak Dev ji made us Sikhs.
Five centuries ago, Guruji said
Arise and Awake
For you are equal.
All men and women are equal.
You shall have no caste
You shall have no ritual.
You shall believe, in no living God
You shall believe
Only in Akalpurkh.
Remember, Guru Nanak Dev ji said.
You will have three duties
First, he said
Naam japo
Worship and meditate
And seek God’s grace,
So God may bless you.
Secondly, he said
Kirat Karo
Work hard and do not seek favors
Live by your labors
And your labors alone.
And thirdly, Guru Nanak Dev ji said
“Vand Chako”
Care and share
Give to those in need
For they too
Arae God’s children
Offer hope and offer love
For the world will be won
Only by love.
So it was Guru Nanak Dev ji
Who made us Sikhs.
I am a Sikh
I was born a Sikh
And I am proud to be the Guru’s
Sikh,
From the Sikhs, we became the
Khalsa
Who made the Khalsa?
Guru Gobind Singh ji made the
Khalsa.
1699, the Khalsa was born.
Guru Gobind Singh ji
Gave us Khanday Da Amrit.
Khanddaa, the double-edged
sword
‘The twin edges of truth and justice,
And then Guru Gobind Singh ji
Gave us the 5 K’s
K is for Kesh
K is for Kanga
K is for Kaccha
K is for Kara
K is for Kirpan.
Guru Gobind Singh ji made sure
That the Khalsa would be
The order of the pure.
The Khalsa would be visible.
The Khalsa would be moral
The Khalsa would always
uphold truth and justice,
The Khalsa would always and
always
Be the defenders of faith,
And so today
Who is a Sikh?
What does Sikh stand for?
S is for sincerity and spirituality
lis for integrity and independence
K is for Khalistan, the Sikh
Homeland
& His for Human Rights
Human Rights not just for Sikhs
but for all the people in the world,
And so today
Who is a Khalsa?
And what does Khalsa stand for?
K is for Khalsa and Khalistan
The order of the pure
And the Land of the order of the
pure
His for A grade to be achieved
for more excellence.
Remember, that’s what our
Guru’s said.
L is for Love for all mankind
Moras kee jat Subhay ek hie
pehchanbo
S is for strength and courage and
bravery
Sura so peh chaneay jo laray deen
kay haet
And A, at the end, is for all,
for, the Khalsa Panth is for all,
and Sikhism is for all
And so the Sikh and Khalsa to
me are the same.
I am a Sikh
I am a Khalsa
I was born to be a Sikh
I will always remain a Khalsa
I am proud to be a Sikh
I am proud to be a Khalsa
Hail to our Gurus, who made
us Sikhs and Khalsas.
Saray bolo jee
