A Vancouver entertainer says he as questioned by India’s intelligence agencies for 20 hours before being freed. Maninder Gill, 32 arrived in Vance an cover late Jan. 25.after authorities finally released him from detention at Now Delhi’s airport. Gill still that agents from India’s nondomestic intelligence agency and its external spy agency were part of a team of five people who questions ho questioned him ah about the activities of Sikh militants in B.C. He said the agents specifically names of several high-profile militants who are residents of the Lower Mainland. Gill said questions were also asked about the activities of the World Sikh Organization, the Babar Khalsa and the International Sikh Youth Federation all of which sock creation of a separate Sikh republic in India, called Khalistan. He said one agent told him.” The Khalistan scan movement is finished in India and we are going to finish off those who are in Canada. Britain and the US “We are going to teach (Sikh millions living overseas) a lesson” the agent told him. Gill said he was told two people, one in Canada and one in India, had filed complaints alleging he was part of the secessionist movement He said the agents finally can go when they realized he had no concrete information about Sikh separatists in B.C.
