LOS ANGELES, CA: The main central gurdwara of L.A., located on Vermont Ave. in Hollywood celebrated Vaisakhi on April 11. Famous ragi Jathas recited Kirtan.
The hall of L.A, City College was decorated beautifully for the occasion. Snacks were served in the college where the function was held but langar was served in the new building of the Gurdwara, a mile away. The Sangat saw the nearly completed gurdwara building with their own eyes. All were very happy and excited to see their gurdwara taking shape.
The Sangat appreciated the efforts of the management committee. Many people pledged to donate more money to complete the building as soon as possible. The project has been underway since for the last 4 1/2 years and may need an additional million dollars for completion.
