LUCKNOW: Former Prime Minister V.P. Singh has announced a three year intermission from electoral politics once the coming Lok Sabha polls were over.
“It is a personal matter. The decision is final and irrevocable,” Singh told reporters.
I have decided to remain aloof from active politics from 19961999″ Singh said, adding that he would not campaign for NFLF in the coming elections. ‘When asked if he would consider his decision under “popular pressure”, Singh said he was not going to repeat the ‘mistake’ which he had done by becoming Prime Minister in 1991 ‘under pressure’.
