Los Angeles: Gurdwara Sahib located on Vermont Street in Hollywood is very famous and popular. This is the only institution run democratically by the Sangat in the L.A. area.
Sangat has been very generous in its donations towards construction of the new building. Since January 1992 Sikhs have contributed about $600000. This helped to complete the difficult construction of the foundation and the underground two level parking.
The construction/co-ordination committee requests the Sangat to donate liberally so that the framing and top structure may be completed. It is understandable that the recession is one factor that is slowing down the contribution of funds. The Sangats enthusiasms have been very high let us continue a little more and complete the Gurdwara.
