BANGALORE, India, Dec8: Moslem rioting sparked by 4 newspaper story headlined “Mohammad the Idiot” spread to a second South Indian City today and a news agency said the death toll in two days of disturbances could rise to 16.
The Press Trust of India (PTI) said up to 11 people could have been killed in the rioting here and five in the city of Mysore, although police this evening confirmed only 11 deaths.
