IMPHAL (MANIPUR) (PTI): As many a5 87 bodies of Kukis, massacred by suspected armed Naga militants in Zoupi village of Manipur state on Monday, were recovered from two places, the director general of state police Mahesh Dutt Sharma said on Sept.17.
Meanwhile, five persons, including four Kuki villagers were killed and 36 houses torched in separate incidents in Manipur’s Tamenglong and Senapati districts on Friday morning.
A petrol bomb exploded in the crowded Paona Bazar area in the heat of Imphal, injuring two civilians, according to official sources.
