Toronto: Ontario Universities want to hike tuition fees for under graduate students almost 50% in the next two years. The Ontario Council of Universities has recommended the province for fees hike to offset two decades of underfunding. If accepted, a student in Ontario could pay as much as $3,030 to enter an undergraduate program in September 1995. Now, student pay $2,026 a year to attend school. Council also asked to create a student loan scheme that provides more money to students and the graduates repayment rate to their incomes.
