In a flash, the East German state vanished. Will the same thing happen to North Korea?

It doesn’t seem likely, says a leading South Korean economist who met with North Korean leaders for several days last year.

In fact, says Duk Choong Kim, such an outcome isn’t desirable for either Korea. Kim foresees an economics driven, gradual unification of the two states. A single Korea could emerge early in the 21s century, he says.
