Los Angeles: a unique resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors of the Sri Guru Singh Sabha of Los Angeles located at 101 S, Chappel Ave, Alhambra Ca.
Ata general body meeting of the Gurdwara, the sitting board of directors proposed that none of them would seek office for the next term of two years.
In a second resolution they proposed that they would nominate members for the board of directors from the congregation within a period of 30 days, the selected list would then get approved by the general body and office bearers of the new management committee would thus be selected. Mr. Swaran Singh Dabgotra said, “This step has been taken to avoid disputes resulting from elections.” He said by avoiding elections the outgoing management committee hoped to avoid unpleasantness.
