GUWAHATI: Suspected United Liberation Front of Assam rebels killed a senior journalist Kamala Saikia in the troubled northeastern Indian state late Friday.
Official reports said armed men had lifted Saikia from his residence in Sibs agar town in the evening. Around midnight his bullet ridden body was recovered at Janji 28 kms away from his house on the national highway 37.
