NICOSIA, Sept. 12, Reuters: U.N. Secretary-general Javier Perez De Cuellar started his gulf war peace mission on Saturday by meeting iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati, Tehran radio said.
The radio, monitored in Nicosia, quoted Velayati as telling Perez De Cuellar: “Every move by international organizations 1s serious for us when it will lead to the realization of justice”.
It quoted Perez De Cuellar as saying he hoped his talks on the July 20 UN, Security Council Resolution ordering # ceasefire in the Iran Iraq war would be fruitful.
