AGARTALA, India: Two people were killed in the Bangladesh capital Dhaka and a third died in Chittagong during an ‘opposition led 12hour general ’ strike, Intelligence reports reaching India said, Bombs were thrown in Dhaka, police launched baton charges, and more than 100 people ~ mostly opposition activists were injured during the dawn-to-dusk strike, according to the reports reaching this border town in north eastern India, In Calcutta, British Broadcasting Corporation correspondent Phil Jones, expelled from Bangladesh on Saturday, said he ‘was given only time to pack before being put on plane out of the country.
