NEW DELHI: Rich tributes were paid here Thursday to the former Prime Minister, Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri, on his 24th death anniversary, PTI reports
The vice-president, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma, the Prime Minister, Mr. V.P. Singh, accompanied by their wives, visited Vijay Ghat and paid floral tributes at the Samadhi of Mr. Shastri.
Mrs. Lalita Shastri, wife of Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri, her two sons, Mr. Hari Krishna Shastri and Mr. Sunil Shastri, and several leaders of various political parties were among those who paid their homage to the late prime minister.
