SRINAGAR : Indian security force arrested the commander in chief of the Jamait ul Majahideen at Sada Ka Dal in Srinagar on Sept.30,Elsewhere in the Valley, six militants were among 10 persons killed and 20 captured by the security force that day.

A BSF spokesman said that a BSF party on a tip off raided a hideout in Sada Kadal area of Srinagar city carly on Thursday and arrested Moulvi Abdul Haq, newly appointed commanderinchief of the ‘Jamait ul Mujahideen.”

Earlier its commanderinchief, Mohammad Ramzan Sofi alias General Abdullah and four top activists were arrested by the BSF during a similar raid at Balgarden near here on Sept.10.

Militants made an abortive attempt to blow up the BagheMehiaab bridge when they planted amine under it, The nearby buildings developed cracks due to the impact of the explosion, however the bridge was safe, the spokesman said.
