RANIKE (AMRITSAR): In a three hour long encounter on the outskirts of Ranike village Amritsar police gunned down Sukhdev Singh Sukha Chachawall head of Babbar Khalsa in the Majha belt last week.
The district police chief Hardip Singh Dhillon who was in-charge of the police-party said that with the death of Sunkha the police had aborted a major plot to kill political leaders by the Babbars.
