The death toll in the bomb blast which killed Rajiv Gandhi has raised to 18 with two police personnel succumbing to their injuries in a hospital here Thursday.
The blast took place in Sriperumbudur 40 km from this Metropolis Tuesday night killing Gandhi and 13 others instantaneously.
Meanwhile the director of central bureau of investigation Vijay Karan said his team which arrived here from Delhi was sure and confident of ferreting out the truth.
The CBI special team was investigating all possibilities including the involvement of the Sri Lankan militant Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in the assassination home ministry officials said in New Delhi.
