Learning Lessons From the History: The present dynastic rulers of the old dynastic kings of Delhi; have mistakenly assumed that Sikhs can be finished by the use of force, They are giggling over their “success” of killing thousands of Sikhs are all hoping to “subdue” them. Earlier Mughal and the British rulers also thought they had “finished” the Sikhs but actually they had dug their own graves rather than of the Sikhs.
Mughals had calculated that by killing Guru Arjan Dev Ji, they would “finish” Sikh faith; Actually they lost their image as “invincible fighters” because Sikhs then took up the sword and defeated them four times.
Instead of repenting for the it horrible sins, Mughal Emperor murdered Guru Teg Bahadur and attacked his son Guru Gobind Singh with all the army at his disposal. Instead of destroying the Sikhs, they themselves got destroyed forever. Recently, one of their successors lamented in Delhi, “Oh! What a fall. We were rulers of Delhi and now we are nothing no than dust of a street”.
British supported Mahants to keep control of the Gurdwaras and to destroy the Sikh power. They lost their own power. They had to ‘yield to the Sikhs and finally were obliged to leave India.
Both Mughals and British rulers: tried to divide Sikhs by using “Sikhs” who were hungry for temporary power and money rather than being devoted to their faith. Such traitors like Prithi Chand, Ram Rai and others got a black spot on their face and died miserable deaths. A British stooge had to be cremated in Ludhiana by the government because his village folks dis-owned him and did not permit even the dead body of the tout to be brought to their village.
British put up the statute of their tyrant rulers. These statues stand removed. Bhagat Singh called a terrorist and therefore killed by them along with hundreds of other martyrs, will always live as the freedom fighter. Similarly the statutes of the present tyrant rulers will soon be reduced to dust and forgotten and those called terrorists and killed by them will be honored and loved as the freedom fighters.
It is never too late to learn a lesson from history and give up oppression and show courage by apologizing for their sins and crimes.
