I congratulate the staff and management of the World Sikh News on its eighth anniversary. I sincerely appreciate all the contributors, specifically Dr. Gurinder Singh Grewal for his regular donations and determination to carry out the mission of disseminating information on the Sikh cause and human rights.
World Sikh News is the only English/Punjabi weekly Sikh publication in the world today. WSN has become a strong voice for the Sikh Nation at the international level. Most of the Human Rights organizations and world level statesmen have started quoting WSN as a source of information related to Sikh issues.
To create, shape, sustain and support a nation, a good newspaper is of paramount importance. We now have WSN to fulfill the needs of the Sikh Nation. It is a duty of every Sikh to promote ‘their own’ newspaper to make a stronger voice for the Sikhs. Some of the following ideas, if properly implemented, can make a difference:
Every Sikh family needs to subscribe to WSN. Buy advertising space to promote business as well as WSN.
Send constructive suggestions to make WSN a world class publication.
Make financial contributions to reach the above goal.
Write informative and factual articles to convey the Sikh cause.
If the Sikhs do not tell the true story, from their own point of view, who else will?
