Dear Editor:

I happened to read the letter entitled Stop Offering the Sikh Turban to be an International Soccer Ball. I have a few subjects to clear with Sardar Nijher to you know the truth.

As a youth of Sikh Foundation of Virginia should know what’s happened over the last couple of years. There have been outbursts in our gurdwara first fights and the dividing of the Sikh community. There have been speeches to resolve the problem. There have been responses for make the problem worse. The people of SEV didn’t want to go public with this bur they had no choice

First of all you are kicking the ball farther from the goal Sardar Nijher We at SFY are trying to bring back peace but letter such as Sardar Nijher are making it harder for us. Sardar Nijher was not there on April 8th the day when four fathers and one mother were literally beaten up. Sardar Nijher was not there on the General Body Meeting where men screamed at each other He was not there.

Sardar Nijher complains about the killing raping beating and imprisonment of the Sikhs in Punjab by our enemies. For your information beating and almost raping happened at SFY TOO. Everyone wants to help our brothers and sisters there. SFY participates in Millies and meetings for the cause of Punjab.

I have gone to & few of these rallies recently there was a rally in Washington. D.C. and members of the SFY sangat attended. We do care In conclusion like to say to Sardar Nijher get your facts straight. We are not publicizing this issue because we want to but because we have to If someone in your gurdwara called the Kirtan bakwas what would you do? If Sardar Nijher believes the Sikh Turban is a Soccer Bull be should not return to the field. The team does not need a bad player.
