If money alone could buy votes, the Nehru Gandhi dynasty would be in power forever. In recent months Rajiv Gandhi ‘spent’ billions of dollars to perpetrate further frauds on the people. He has treated the public exchequer like his personal property a la Marcos. Rs 2009 crore was pledged for the Nehru Rojgar Yojna and Rs 20,000 cron projects for which Gandhi found time to lay foundation stones a week prior to the elections. The icing on this cake of mud came on November 19 with the announcement of Indira Mahila Yojna named after his mother on her birthday. Too bad Rahul and Priyanka did not have their birthdays now. India needs a program for children too!
