JODHPUR, RAJASTHAN: A room in a I9theentury house here, ‘occupied by a senior Indian rail way official, is sealed because of a mysterious +ghost+ who has not condescended to make an appearance for several years now. ‘The house built in 1880 has a room completely sealed with concrete walls and all that the current resident, A. S.P. Sinha, railway divisional manager (Jodhpur), could say was the mystery remains unsolved inspite of a lot of enquiries.
‘When asked why the room was sealed, railway officials said that the +ghost+ story was handed down to them by their predecessors.
‘Some of them claimed that the +ghost+ makes a regular appearance in the sealed room in this sandstone bungalow.
‘Sinha said though warned by the earlier occupant of the bungalow bout the visitor from the +land of death, he has yet to experience any such thing,
‘The Sinha house hold goes about its daily routine without any thought for the mysterious resident. While the space Adjacent 0 the +Haunted Room+ has been converted into a puja (prayer) room.
