Houston — A two day seminar and meetings held in Houston on Dec. 26 and 27, 1984 resulted in the formation of The Sikh Students Federation of Texas. In these deliberations, the Sikh Students from Houston, Austin, Lubbock, San Antonio and Vancouver, Canada took part. It was resolved to organize the Federation here and have a membership drive throughout Texas. The Federation will establish contacts and liaison with other similar organizations in North America, in particular and throughout the world. The Federation will strive to bring the Sikh youth together for VP FER Benes ST Beame Gee the ‘‘Chardikala’ of the Khalsa Panth. It will work towards educating and inculcating the Sikh youth, in Sikh religious edicts, Sikh way of life for the service and benefit of humanity. S. Gurbachan Singh of the Sikh Center was elected as the chairman of adhoc committee. Other office bearers were also elected unanimously. They are: Pavneet Singh Uppal, secretary; Jagjit Singh Jolly, publications; Paul Azad, research; Navintt Singh Sethi, treasurer; Manohar Singh Mann, public relations; Dr. G. P. Singh has been invited as organizational secretary.
