Tarnveer Singh Grewal of Fremont California will compete in the triple jump and long jump at the 28th USA Track & Field Junior Olympic Nationals this year in Gainesville Florida. Tarnveer qualified for the Nationals after his consistent per or mance in the local and level championships earlier the year He represented the mission Valley Track & Field Club the local Junior Olympics held in San Jose California on June 12 W994. He took IST place with a Gump of 42°1° in the tipple jump nu 5th place with a jump of 19’8 1/4 in the long jump.

At the regional even championships also held in San Jose. Tarnveer again secured 1st place ‘with a long jump of 42’ 4″ and moved 10 3rd place with a long of 19’6 1/4”

A student at Irvington High School in Fremont California he also participates in the 100m 200m dashes and the 5x400m relay team Earlier this season I am year broke more school triple jump record with a mark of 429″. The previous best set in 1976 stood for 18 years. In addition to his athletic achievements Tarnveer has a 3.9 GPA. Ho is the son of Harjit Singh and Jasbir Kaur Grewal.
