New Delhi: A delegation of Tamil separatists from Sri Lanka is currently in Delhi soliciting additional financial and arms help for the agitators who are waging a struggle for an autonomous Tamil State within Sri Lanka. Tamil minority is resentful of the alleged discrimination and the increasing dominance by the Sinhalese majority. Indian government is exerting its pressure over Sri Lanka to settle the issue of the Tamil population there. Sri Lanka President, Jayawarden has charged Delhi of supplying arms and ammunition to the Tamil separatists and thus interfering in their internal matters. Jayawarden is likely to meet Rajiv in the near future to discuss this problem.
