FARIDKOT: Jagdey Singh Talwadi the president of the Akali Dal-T announced that his party would launch a movement to stop the killings of the Sikh youth in fake encounters in Punjab.
Talwandi made the announcement at a workers meeting at Muktsar. He said his party was forced to take this stand because the state government had failed to check the oppression on the Sikh youth.
Talwandi’s announcement came as a surprise because he had been exposed as collaborating with the government. According to confidential reports, he had conveyed a message to the Congress I leaders taunting them as to why they were unable to kill a mere 125 Sikh youths creating problems for the country and his party.
