Sangrur district, with 73 points, ‘won the team championship in the ‘men’s swimming. Jullundur finished runners-up with 50 points. Ludhiana (18) got the third place.
The team championship in the women’s section was won by Patiala, who collected 56 points, Ludhiana were second with 44 points, Amritsar and Jullundur shared the third spot with 20 points each,
Rajiv Nagpal of Sangrur and Rayneet Bhullar of Patiala were adjudged the best swimmers among men and women, respectively.
